Brief Profile

Dr. V. Ramya is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Government College of Engineering, Bodinayakkanur, Tamil Nadu, and is currently on deputation from Annamalai University. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Annamalai University and brings with her more than 25 years of undergraduate teaching experience, 19 years of postgraduate teaching, and 15 years of active research experience. Her primary area of specialization is Embedded Systems, with strong interdisciplinary research contributions in Internet of Things (IoT), sensor networks, cloud computing, machine learning, deep learning, robotic process automation, and intelligent healthcare systems. Dr. Ramya has made significant contributions to applied research addressing real-world challenges in smart healthcare, environmental monitoring, medical and electronic waste management, rehabilitation systems, air quality prediction, and intelligent automation. She has authored over 57 international journal publications and 46 international conference papers, many of which are published in SCI, Scopus, and Web of Science–indexed journals and has successfully supervised multiple Ph.D. scholars. Dr. Ramya actively serves the academic community as a Board of Studies nominee of Anna University, reviewer for reputed journals and conferences, Ph.D. examiner, session chair, and coordinator of institutional academic and industry–interaction initiatives. Her sustained contributions reflect a strong commitment to research excellence, quality education, and technology-driven societal impact.
